About CSI
The Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI), a voluntary, academic, nonprofit and non-governmental organization, a family of over 10,000 members, is registered and established in accordance with the laws of China. CSI has grown out of the Chinese Committee for Immunology, founded in 1984, and joined the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) as a member society in the same year. In 1988 CSI got its license and was affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). In 1992, CSI became a founder member of the Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA) and started to play an active role in the regional academic organization. Since 2016, the FIMSA office has been sharing with CSI office in Beijing, which is led by FIMSA Secretary General.

Empowering Primary Care Doctors: CSI Brings Advanced Immunology to Rural Grassroots Healthcare
Global advancements in immunology have transformed modern healthcare, and major teaching hospitals in China's metropolis centers now operate at the cutting edge of this discipline. However, as a developing country, a significant disparity remains at the rural grassroots level. While immunological disorders affect rural populations just as frequently, many primary care physicians lack formal training and up-to-date knowledge in basic immunology. Bridging this knowledge gap through specialized education for primary care doctors is vital for improving early detection, standardized treatment, and overall healthcare equity in underserved communities.07

Summer School 2026 of CSI
The 13th CSI Summer School, hosted by the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI) and co-organized by Ningxia Medical University and the Ningxia Society for Immunology, was held from July 10 to 19, 2026, in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Over 90 doctoral students from universities and research institutes across China participated in the 10-day intensive program.31

Hosted by the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI), the congress attracted 500 registered delegates and received 207 abstract submissions, showcasing the immense vitality and academic cohesion of China's cancer biotherapy field.03

The Annual Meeting of the American Association of Immunologists (AAI 2026) was convened in Boston from April 15 to 19, 2026. Attended by approximately 3,000 delegates, the congress presented a comprehensive scientific program encompassing fundamental immunology, clinical translational medicine, neuroimmunology, artificial intelligence in immunology, and emerging immunotherapeutic technologies.06
