About CSI
The Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI), a voluntary, academic, nonprofit and non-governmental organization, a family of over 10,000 members, is registered and established in accordance with the laws of China. CSI has grown out of the Chinese Committee for Immunology, founded in 1984, and joined the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) as a member society in the same year. In 1988 CSI got its license and was affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). In 1992, CSI became a founder member of the Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA) and started to play an active role in the regional academic organization. Since 2016, the FIMSA office has been sharing with CSI office in Beijing, which is led by FIMSA Secretary General.

Cellular & Molecular Immunology is a monthly journal from the Chinese Society for Immunology and the University of Science and Technology of China. Covering both basic immunology research and clinical applications, CMI provides the latest information and advancements in our understanding of the immunological response of the host, both in vitro and in vivo.

Summary of 2025 CSI Annual Meeting (17th CSI Congress of Immunology)
From November 6-9, 2025, the 2025 CSI Annual Meeting (CSI2025) was successfully held in Chongqing. The congress achieved fruitful results, summarized in the following seven aspects: 1. Academic Influence Continues to Grow This year’s conference set new records, receiving 1,929 abstracts, an increase of 572 compared with last year (up 42%). A total of 3,115 registered participants attended, and together with invited guests, exhibitors, and volunteers, the onsite attendance reached 4,285, fully demonstrating the vigorous development of immunology in China and the strong cohesion of the conference brand.19

Summary of Summer School 2025 of CSI
From July 11 to 20, 2025, the 12th Summer School of the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI), hosted by CSI and co-organized by Harbin Medical University and the Heilongjiang Society for Immunology, was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. The opening ceremony took place on July 11. Distinguished guests in attendance included Professor Huang Bo, President of CSI and of Peking Union Medical College at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; Professor Ji Yong, President of Harbin Medical University; and Professor Ling Hong, President of the Heilongjiang Society for Immunology and faculty member at Harbin Medical University. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Zheng Limin, Secretary-General of CSI and faculty member at Sun Yat-sen University.15

Summary of the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI) Symposium at AAI 2025
The 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Immunologists (AAI 2025) was held in Honolulu, Hawaii from May 2 to May 7, 2025, with nearly 2,000 participants in attendance. In addition to classic fundamental immunology research, the conference focused on key topics such as neuroimmunology, computational immunology, systems immunology, tumor immunology, and novel immunotherapy technologies.16

Summary of the 18th National Conference on Tumor Biotherapy & National Conference on Tumor Cell Therapy and Immunotherapy
From April 25 to 27, 2025, the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI) hosted the 18th National Conference on Tumor Biotherapy & the National Conference on Tumor Cell Therapy and Immunotherapy in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. The conference was co-organized by the CSI Tumor Immunology and Biotherapy Committee, the Tumor Biotherapy Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and the Chinese Journal of Tumor Biotherapy. Under the strategic guidance of honorary chairs Academicians Xuetao Cao, Zhigang Tian, and Yuzhang Wu, and with the joint efforts of conference chairs Professors Bo Huang and Yi Zhang, the event saw enhanced influence, attracting 563 registered representatives, plus invited speakers and 15 exhibitors, totaling nearly 700 attendees.15
