CSI Committee on the Status of Women is established

The celebrating meeting of the establishment of Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI) Committee on the Status of Women was held on 20th October, 2014 in Shandong Conventional Hall, Jinan, China. Around 100 immunologists and representatives from immunology related enterprises attended the meeting.
Prof. Zhigang Tian, President of CSI, announced the establishment of the Committee and expressed his congratulations. Prof. Yiwei Chu, Head of the Committee on the Status of Women, gave a speech to introduce the background of the Committee, the current situation and future for women scientists.
The establishment of the Committee is a symbol of the huge development of Chinese immunological research as well as Chinese Society for Immunology. Prof. Xuetao Cao, General Secretary of CSI, delivered a speech to congratulate the event, expressing wishes to create more career opportunities for women immunologists and promote the international status of Chinese women scientists.
